Life Cycle Analysis determines the environmental impacts of products, processes, or services through production, use, and disposal.
The entirety of consecutive and interconnected stages of a product or service system, from natural resource extraction to final disposal, is called the life cycle. Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) is a technique to assess the environmental aspects associated with a product or service.
For example, even though the emission rate of a paper cup may seem low at first glance, due to being single use, it is much higher compared to a glass cup produced with high temperatures. Life cycle assessments involve cradle-to-grave analyses of production systems.
Therefore, avoiding single-use products and using the products we have for as long as possible is the most sustainable and environmentally friendly way.
